Something I'm proud of, this was the masters meet I anchored the winning 4x100 team.
I'm still a FMF too! hahaha!

30 burpees
30 db presses
30 burpees
30 db push presses
30 burpees
30 db jerks
30 burpees
30 db swings
30 burpees
30 db sdhp's
30 burpees
30 db snatches left/hand
30 burpee
30 db snatches right/hand
30 burpees
30 man makers

Scores: Moses- 59:27
            Buddy- 59:59

I remember the last time i did this workout very clearly, hands down the hardest thing i had ever done at the time. I ended up scaling down to 25# and eventually 20 # dumb bells and by the time the workout was over my hands, knees, and toes were all rubbed raw from the weightroom mats. I'm stronger now than i was then but the WOD itself was just as much of a suckfest as it was before.

The way me and Moses decided on doing this workout today wasn't completely random, I asked what he wanted to work on and together we decided that after all the pull up work we did yesterday that hanging from a bar was just not going to happen. Before he came in i actually pulled up a list of all the painstorm workouts and scanned them looking for wods we could do without pullups. For those of you who don't know what Painstorms are....It's a super intense CrossFit workout announced once a month on their affiliate page. These workouts are by far some of the most grueling tasks you can put yourself through. If you want to see for yourself check them out here...http://crossfitrockford.typepad.com/Painstorm.pdf

It's only has few of them on that PDF, they release a new one each month. I plan on doing the Painstorm for November.

To any of my readers who may be thinking about CrossFit as a training program for them, Don't worry i wouldn't program this for you unless i hate you.

The workout started and i wanted to get out of the gate fast so moses would have to catch up the entire workout... and well, that didnt happen. We went rep for rep on the first 30 burpees and stayed within 5 to 10 reps of each other for most of the workout. Swinging the two kettle bells at once was much harder than i expected, my hands are fucked up from all the pull ups yesterday. The combo of shoulder press, burpee, push press, burpee, push jerk, burpee was an evil plan. Who ever put this workout together is mean MF.

Workouts like the "Burpee Bedlam" for me are my favorite, i prefer the knockum down, grindum out workouts. Coming in second i don't like so much, I'll need to step it up for the O.C. throwdown wod were doing thursday. That workout is:
For Time:
15 Squat Cleans (155/105)
30 Pullups
12 Squat Cleans
24 Pullups
9 Squat Cleans
18 Pullups
I'll need to bring my A game to get Moses on this workout. You better believe i won't leave the gym without giving my best effort.

Expect another post coming thursday or friday. For tomorrow I REST!

Until then train hard, train smart, and have fun!
